Dr. ARUNA K WANNIACHCHI is the Head of Project Administration Unit of Southeast Asia Energy Division of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). Dr. Wanniachchi supports ADB’s energy sector operations in Southeast Asia and the GMS Regional Power Trade Coordination Committee activities. Prior to joining ADB, she worked with the Ceylon Electricity Board in Sri Lanka, and served as a Technical Advisor for the United Nations Development Programme in Iraq. She has a total of 30 years of experience in the energy sector. She is a national of Sri Lanka and holds Doctorate and Master degrees in Electrical Engineering from Kyushu University, Japan, and a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering from the University of Moratuawa, Sri Lanka.
