Dr. Viet Phuong Nguyen

Viet Phuong Nguyen is post-doctoral researcher in the Nuclear Energy Environment and Nuclear Security Laboratory, Department of Nuclear and Quantum Engineering, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). From 2016 to 2017, he was research fellow of the International Security Program and Project on Managing the Atom, Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, Harvard Kennedy School. Dr. Nguyen received B.Sc. in nuclear physics from the Vietnam National University, and M.Sc. and Ph.D. in nuclear engineering from KAIST. His research on nuclear development policy, nuclear nonproliferation, and multilateral approach to nuclear fuel cycle has been published by Progress in Nuclear Energy, Nuclear Engineering and Technology, or The Nonproliferation Review. Dr. Nguyen has also written op-eds for The Diplomat and The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists on nuclear and security issues.
