Jessie L. Todoc is an independent researcher and consultant on power sector development, sustainable energy and sustainable cities who has 25 years of international experience. He has developed, implemented, coordinated, and managed research, training, technical assistance, technical cooperation, and partnership projects, including policy, market and feasibility studies. He is now based in Manila but worked out of Bangkok for 14 years and has implemented projects in Indonesia, Lao PDR, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam, and on ASEAN and APEC economies. He had travelled in the rest of southeast Asia, China, Europe, South Africa, and the United States in the course of his work. He worked with the Center for Energy Environment Resources and Development while in Bangkok and is now again affiliated with CEERD. He has an MBA from the Asian Institute of Technology, completed graduate courses in industrial and business economics at the University of Asia and the Pacific and has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Santo Tomas. He is married and has three children.
