Mr. Panupong Sathorn

Mr. Panupong Sathorn has been working at the Energy Policy and Planning Office, Ministry of Energy, as a Policy and Plan Analyst since 2010. According to his background on Electrical Power Systems Engineering, he has been involved in many energy projects such as Power Systems Infrastructure Development Project, Smart Grid, Power Purchase from Neighboring Countries, including Power Systems Interconnection between countries. In recent years, he was responsible for the formulation of National Smart Grid Development Master Plan 2015 – 2036 and National Smart Grid Action Plan 2017 – 2021, which are currently used as National Smart Grid Development Guidelines by Power Utilities and related parties. Moreover, he is also taking part in a long run project with Thai delegations in the GMS Energy Cooperation to establish the regional market in the GMS region.
